Sa'd bin Abi Waqas told us that: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: Fighting a Muslim is Kufr and defaming him is evildoing.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أن رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قِتَالُ الْمُسْلِمِ كُفْرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَسِبَابُهُ فُسُوقٌ .

سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”مسلمان سے لڑنا کفر ( کا کام ) اور اسے گالی دینا فسق ہے“ ۱؎۔
