It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: The Messenger of Allah said on the Day of the Conquest (of Makkah): There is no more emigration (Hijrah), rather there is Jihad and intention. When you are called to moblize (for Jihad) then do so. '

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي مَنْصُورٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ لَا هِجْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَكِنْ جِهَادٌ وَنِيَّةٌ،‏‏‏‏ فَإِذَا اسْتُنْفِرْتُمْ فَانْفِرُوا .

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فتح مکہ کے روز فرمایا: ”ہجرت تو ( باقی ) نہیں رہی البتہ جہاد اور نیت ہے، لہٰذا جب تمہیں جہاد کے لیے بلایا جائے تو نکل پڑو“۔
