It was narrated that Zaid bin Jubair said: I asked Ibn 'Umar about drinks and he said: 'Avoid everything that intoxicates.'

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنِ الْأَشْرِبَةِ ؟،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اجْتَنِبْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ يَنِشُّ .
