حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الْحَوْرَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِالْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ عَلَّمَنِي جَدِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَلِمَاتٍ أَقُولُهُنَّ فِي قُنُوتِ الْوِتْرِ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِيمَنْ عَافَيْتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَتَوَلَّنِي فِيمَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاهْدِنِي فِيمَنْ هَدَيْتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقِنِي شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّكَ تَقْضِي وَلَا يُقْضَى عَلَيْكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّهُ لَا يَذِلُّ مَنْ وَالَيْتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّنَا تَبَارَكْتَ وَتَعَالَيْتَ .

Urdu Translation

حسن بن علی رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   میرے نانا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھے چند کلمات سکھائے جن کو میں وتر کے قنوت میں پڑھا کروں: «اللهم عافني فيمن عافيت وتولني فيمن توليت واهدني فيمن هديت وقني شر ما قضيت وبارك لي فيما أعطيت إنك تقضي ولا يقضى عليك إنه لا يذل من واليت سبحانك ربنا تباركت وتعاليت» اے اللہ! مجھے عافیت دے ان لوگوں میں جن کو تو نے عافیت بخشی ہے، اور میری سرپرستی کر ان لوگوں میں جن کی تو نے سرپرستی کی ہے، اور مجھے ہدایت دے ان لوگوں کے زمرے میں جن کو تو نے ہدایت دی ہے، اور مجھے اس چیز کی برائی سے بچا جو تو نے مقدر کی ہے، اور میرے لیے اس چیز میں برکت دے جو تو نے عطا کی ہے، پس جو تو چاہتا ہے فیصلہ کرتا ہے، اور تجھ پر کسی کا حکم نہیں چل سکتا، اور جسے تو دوست رکھے وہ ذلیل نہیں ہو سکتا، اے ہمارے رب! تو پاک، بابرکت اور بلند ہے ۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Al-Hasan bin ‘Ali said: “My grandfather, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), taught me some words to say in Qunut of Witr: Allahumma ‘afini fiman ‘afait, wa tawallani fiman tawallait, wahdini fiman hadait, wa qini sharra ma qadait, wa barik li fima a’tait. Innaka taqdi wa la yuqda ‘alaik, innahu la yudhillu man walait. Subhanaka rabbana tabarakta wa ta’alait (O Allah, pardon me along with those whom You have pardoned, be an ally to me along with those whom You are an ally to, guide me along with those whom You have guided, protect me from the evil that You have decreed, and bless for me that which You have bestowed. For verily You decree and none can decree over You. He whom You support can never be humiliated. Glory is to You, our Lord, You are Blessed and Exalted).”
