It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘May Allah have mercy on a man who gets up at night and prays, and wakes his wife, and she prays; and if she refuses he sprinkles water in her face. And May Allah have mercy on a woman who gets up at night and prays, and wakes her husband and he prays; and if he refuses, she sprinkles water in his face.’”

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْجحْدَرِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ رَحِمَ اللَّهُ رَجُلًا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَصَلَّى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَيْقَظَ امْرَأَتَهُ فَصَلَّتْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنْ أَبَتْ رَشَّ فِي وَجْهِهَا الْمَاءَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏رَحِمَ اللَّهُ امْرَأَةً قَامَتْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَصَلَّتْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَيْقَظَتْ زَوْجَهَا فَصَلَّى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنْ أَبَى رَشَّتْ فِي وَجْهِهِ الْمَاءَ .

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اللہ تعالیٰ اس شخص پر رحم کرے، جو رات میں بیدار ہوا، اور نماز پڑھی، اور اپنی بیوی کو بھی جگایا، اس نے نماز پڑھی، اگر نہ اٹھی تو اس کے چہرہ پہ پانی چھڑکا، اللہ تعالیٰ اس عورت پر رحم کرے، جو رات میں بیدار ہوئی، پھر اس نے نماز پڑھی اور اپنے شوہر کو جگایا، اس نے بھی نماز پڑھی اگر نہ اٹھا تو اس کے منہ پر پانی چھڑکا ۔
