Sunan Ibn Majah 1417

It was narrated that Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to stand by the root of a tree, or by a tree trunk, then he started to use a pulpit. The tree trunk made a grieving sound.” Jabir said: “So that the people in the mosque could hear it. Until the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to it and rubbed it, and it calmed down. Some of them said: ‘If he had not come to it, it would have grieved until the Day of Resurrection.’”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ بَكْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ يَقُومُ إِلَى أَصْلِ شَجَرَةٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ قَالَ إِلَى جِذْعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ اتَّخَذَ مِنْبَرًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَحَنَّ الْجِذْعُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ جَابِرٌ:‏‏‏‏ حَتَّى سَمِعَهُ أَهْلُ الْمَسْجِدِ حَتَّى أَتَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَمَسَحَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَسَكَنَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ:‏‏‏‏ لَوْ لَمْ يَأْتِهِ لَحَنَّ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ .

جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک درخت کی جڑ، یا یوں کہا: ایک تنے کے سہارے کھڑے ہو کر خطبہ دیتے تھے، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک منبر بنوا لیا، تو وہ تنا سسکیاں لے لے کر رونے لگا، یہاں تک کہ اس کے رونے کی آواز مسجد والوں نے بھی سنی، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس کے پاس آئے، اس پر اپنا ہاتھ پھیرا، تو وہ خاموش ہو گیا، بعض نے کہا کہ اگر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس کے پاس نہ آتے تو وہ قیامت تک روتا رہتا۔
