It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said: “The Prophet (ﷺ) would not go out on the Day of Fitr until he had had given his Companions some of the charity of Fitr to eat.”

حَدَّثَنَا جُبَارَةُ بْنُ الْمُغَلِّسِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مَنْدَلُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ صَهْبَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَغْدُو يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ حَتَّى يُغَذِّيَ أَصْحَابَهُ مِنْ صَدَقَةِ الْفِطْرِ .

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم عید الفطر میں عید گاہ اس وقت تک نہیں جاتے تھے جب تک کہ اپنے ( مساکین ) صحابہ کو اس صدقہ فطر میں سے کھلا نہ دیتے ( جو آپ کے پاس جمع ہوتا ) ۔
