It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to bring his head towards me when he was next door (observing I’tikaf), and I would wash it and comb his hair, when I was in my apartment and I was menstruating, and he was in the mosque.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُدْنِي إِلَيَّ رَأْسَهُ وَهُوَ مُجَاوِرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَغْسِلُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأُرَجِّلُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنَا فِي حُجْرَتِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ .

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اعتکاف کی حالت میں مسجد سے اپنا سر میری طرف بڑھا دیتے تو میں اسے دھو دیتی اور کنگھی کر دیتی، اس وقت میں اپنے حجرے ہی میں ہوتی، اور حائضہ ہوتی اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مسجد میں ہوتے ۱؎۔
