It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The hand is not to be cut off for (stealing) produce or the spadix of palm trees.”

حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَخِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا قَطْعَ فِي ثَمَرٍ وَلَا كَثَرٍ .
