It was narrated from Abu Bakr bin ‘Abdullah bin Zubair from his grandmother – he (the narrator) said: “I do not know if it was Asma’ bint Abu Bakr or Su’da bint ‘Awf’ – that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) entered upon Duba’ah bint ‘Abdul-Muttalib and said: “What is keeping you, O my aunt, from performing Hajj?” She said: “I am a sick woman, and I am afraid of being prevented (from completing Hajj).” He said: ‘Enter Ihram and stipulate the condition that you will exit Ihram from the point where you are prevented.’”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا أَدْرِي أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ سُعْدَى بِنْتِ عَوْفٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَى ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا يَمْنَعُكِ يَا عَمَّتَاهُ مِنَ الْحَجِّ؟ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَا امْرَأَةٌ سَقِيمَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنَا أَخَافُ الْحَبْسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَأَحْرِمِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلَّكِ حَيْثُ حُبِسْتِ .

ابوبکر بن عبداللہ بن زبیر اپنی جدّہ (دادی یا نانی) سے روایت کرتے ہیں (راوی کہتے ہیں: مجھے نہیں معلوم کہ وہ اسماء بنت ابی بکر ہیں یا سعدیٰ بنت عوف) کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ضباعہ بنت عبدالمطلب رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس گئے اور فرمایا: پھوپھی جان! حج کرنے میں آپ کے لیے کون سی چیز رکاوٹ ہے ؟ انہوں نے عرض کیا: میں ایک بیمار عورت ہوں اور مجھے اندیشہ ہے کہ میں پہنچ نہیں سکوں گی، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: آپ احرام باندھ لیں اور شرط کر لیں کہ جس جگہ بہ سبب بیماری آگے نہیں جا سکوں گی، وہیں حلال ہو جاؤں گی۔
