حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَهَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ شَبِيبِ بْنِ غَرْقَدَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْأَحْوَصِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ:‏‏‏‏ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَلَا أَيُّ يَوْمٍ أَحْرَمُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ؟ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ يَوْمُ الْحَجِّ الْأَكْبَرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ وَأَعْرَاضَكُمْ بَيْنَكُمْ حَرَامٌ كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَلَا لَا يَجْنِي جَانٍ إِلَّا عَلَى نَفْسِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا يَجْنِي وَالِدٌ عَلَى وَلَدِهِ وَلَا مَوْلُودٌ عَلَى وَالِدِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَلَا إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ قَدْ أَيِسَ أَنْ يُعْبَدَ فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا أَبَدًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَكِنْ سَيَكُونُ لَهُ طَاعَةٌ فِي بَعْضِ مَا تَحْتَقِرُونَ مِنْ أَعْمَالِكُمْ فَيَرْضَى بِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَلَا وَكُلُّ دَمٍ مِنْ دِمَاءِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ مَوْضُوعٌ وَأَوَّلُ مَا أَضَعُ مِنْهَا دَمُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كَانَ مُسْتَرْضِعًا فِي بَنِي لَيْثٍ فَقَتَلَتْهُ هُذَيْلٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَلَا وَإِنَّ كُلَّ رِبًا مِنْ رِبَا الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ مَوْضُوعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَكُمْ رُءُوسُ أَمْوَالِكُمْ لَا تَظْلِمُونَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا تُظْلَمُونَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَلَا يَا أُمَّتَاهُ هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ؟ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ اشْهَدْ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ.

Urdu Translation

عمرو بن احوص رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو حجۃ الوداع میں فرماتے سنا: لوگو! سنو، کون سا دن زیادہ تقدیس کا ہے ؟ آپ نے تین بار یہ فرمایا، لوگوں نے کہا: حج اکبر ۱؎ کا دن، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تمہارے خون اور تمہارے مال اور تمہاری عزت و آبرو ایک دوسرے پر ایسے ہی حرام ہیں جیسے تمہارے اس دن کی، اور تمہارے اس مہینے کی، اور تمہارے اس شہر کی حرمت ہے، جو کوئی جرم کرے گا، تو اس کا مواخذہ اسی سے ہو گا، باپ کے جرم کا مواخذہ بیٹے سے، اور بیٹے کے جرم کا مواخذہ باپ سے نہ ہو گا، سن لو! شیطان اس بات سے ناامید ہو گیا ہے کہ اب تمہارے اس شہر میں کبھی اس کی عبادت کی جائے گی، لیکن عنقریب بعض کاموں میں جن کو تم معمولی جانتے ہو، اس کی اطاعت ہو گی، وہ اسی سے خوش رہے گا، سن لو! جاہلیت کے سارے خون معاف کر دئیے گئے ( اب اس کا مطالبہ و مواخذہ نہ ہو گا ) اور میں حارث بن عبدالمطلب کا خون سب سے پہلے زمانہ جاہلیت کے خون میں معاف کرتا ہوں، ( جو قبیلہ بنی لیث میں دودھ پیا کرتے تھے اور قبیلہ ہذیل نے انہیں شیر خوارگی کی حالت میں قتل کر دیا تھا ) سن لو! جاہلیت کے تمام سود معاف کر دئیے گئے، تم صرف اپنا اصل مال لے لو، نہ تم ظلم کرو، نہ تم پر ظلم ہو، آگاہ رہو، اے میری امت کے لوگو! کیا میں نے اللہ کا حکم تمہیں پہنچا دیا ہے ؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ تین بار فرمایا، لوگوں نے عرض کیا: جی ہاں، آپ نے پہنچا دیا، آپ نے فرمایا: اے اللہ! تو گواہ رہ ، اور اسے آپ نے تین بار دہرایا۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Sulaiman bin ‘Amr bin Ahwas that his father said: “I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say, during the Farewell Pilgrimage: ‘O people! Which day is the most sacred?’ three times. They said: ‘The day of the greatest Hajj.’ He said: ‘Your blood and your wealth and your honor are sacred to one another, as sacred as this day of yours, in this land of your. No sinner commits a sin but it is against himself. No father is to be punished for the sins of his child, and no child is to be punished for the sins of his father. Satan has despaired of ever being worshipping in this land of yours, but he will be obeyed in some matters which you regard as insignificant, and he will be content with that. All the blood feuds of the Ignorance days are abolished, and the first of them that I abolish is the blood feud of Harith bin ‘Abdul-Muttalib, who was nursed among Banu Laith and killed by Hudhail. All the usuries of the Ignorance days are abolished, but you will have your capital. Do not wrong others and you will not be wronged. O my nation, have I conveyed (the message)?’ (He asked this) three times. They said: ‘Yes.’ He said: ‘O Allah, bear witness!’ three times.”
