حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِيهِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ لَقَدْ تُوُفِّيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ وَمَا فِي بَيْتِي مِنْ شَيْءٍ يَأْكُلُهُ ذُو كَبِدٍ،‏‏‏‏ إِلَّا شَطْرُ شَعِيرٍ فِي رَفٍّ لِي،‏‏‏‏ فَأَكَلْتُ مِنْهُ حَتَّى طَالَ عَلَيَّ فَكِلْتُهُ فَفَنِيَ .

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم وفات پا گئے، اور حال یہ تھا کہ میرے گھر میں کھانے کی کوئی چیز نہ تھی جسے کوئی جگر والا کھاتا، سوائے تھوڑے سے جو کے جو میری الماری میں پڑے تھے، میں انہیں میں سے کھاتی رہی یہاں تک کہ وہ ایک مدت دراز تک چلتے رہے، پھر میں نے انہیں تولا تو وہ ختم ہو گئے۔

English Translation

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “When the Prophet (ﷺ) passed away, there was nothing in my house that any living soul could eat, except a little bit of barley on a shelf of mine. I ate it for a long time, then I weighed it and soon it was all gone.”
