حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِيهِ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تَجْمَعُوا بَيْنَ الرُّطَبِ وَالزَّهْوِ،‏‏‏‏ وَلَا بَيْنَ الزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ،‏‏‏‏ وَانْبِذُوا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا عَلَى حِدَتِهِ .

Urdu Translation

ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: تر اور کچی کھجوروں کو نہ ملاؤ، اور نہ ہی انگور اور کھجور کو، بلکہ ان میں سے ہر ایک کا الگ الگ نبیذ بناؤ ۔

English Translation

It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Abu Qatadah, from his father, that he heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “Do not combine fresh dates and unripe dates, or raisins and dates; rather make Nabidh with each one of them on its own.”*
