It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Interpret them (dreams) in accordance with the names of the things you see, and understand what is hinted at, and the dream is for the first interpreter.”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ يَزِيدَ الرَّقَاشِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ اعْتَبِرُوهَا بِأَسْمَائِهَا،‏‏‏‏ وَكَنُّوهَا بِكُنَاهَا،‏‏‏‏ وَالرُّؤْيَا لِأَوَّلِ عَابِرٍ .

انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم خواب کی تعبیر اس کے نام اور کنیت کی روشنی میں بتایا کرو، اور اس کی تعبیر سب سے پہلے بتانے والے کے مطابق ہوتی ہے ۔
