It was narrated from Bara’ bin ‘Azib that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Allah will curse them and those who curse will curse them.” He said: “The inhabitants of the earth.”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ لَيْثٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ الْمِنْهَالِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ زَاذَانَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ يَلْعَنُهُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ اللَّاعِنُونَ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ دَوَابُّ الْأَرْضِ .

براء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس آیت کریمہ: «يلعنهم الله ويلعنهم اللاعنون» یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن پر اللہ لعنت کرتا ہے اور لعنت کرنے والے لعنت کرتے ہیں ( سورة البقرة: 159 ) ، کی تفسیر میں فرمایا: «اللاعنون» سے زمین کے چوپائے مراد ہیں ۔
