Sunan Ibn Majah 4069 - Tribulations

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّانَ التَّيْمِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَوَّلُ الْآيَاتِ خُرُوجًا:‏‏‏‏ طُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا،‏‏‏‏ وَخُرُوجُ الدَّابَّةِ عَلَى النَّاسِ ضُحًى ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ:‏‏‏‏ فَأَيَّتُهُمَا مَا خَرَجَتْ قَبْلَ الْأُخْرَى،‏‏‏‏ فَالْأُخْرَى مِنْهَا قَرِيبٌ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ:‏‏‏‏ وَلَا أَظُنُّهَا إِلَّا طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمرو بن العاص رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: قیامت کی پہلی نشانی سورج کا پچھم سے نکلنا، اور چاشت کے وقت لوگوں پر «دابہ» ( چوپایہ ) کا ظاہر ہونا ہے ۔ عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ ان دونوں میں سے جو بھی پہلے نکلے، تو دوسرا اس سے قریب ہو گا، میرا یہی خیال ہے کہ پہلے سورج پچھم سے نکلے گا ۱؎۔

English Translation

It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The first signs to appear will be at the rising of the sun from the west and the emergence of the Beast to the people, at forenoon.’” 'Abdullah said: Whichever of them appears first, the other will come soon after. 'Abdullah said: I do not think it will be anything other than the sun rising from the west.
