حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَالَ مَكْحُولٌ،‏‏‏‏ وَابْنُ أَبِي زَكَرِيَّا:‏‏‏‏ إِلَى خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ،‏‏‏‏ وَمِلْتُ مَعَهُمَا فَحَدَّثَنَا،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ لِي جُبَيْرٌ:‏‏‏‏ انْطَلِقْ بِنَا إِلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ذِي مِخْمَرٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَكَانَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ فَانْطَلَقْتُ مَعَهُمَا،‏‏‏‏ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنِ الْهُدْنَةِ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ سَتُصَالِحُكُمْ الرُّومُ صُلْحًا آمِنًا،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ تَغْزُونَ أَنْتُمْ وَهُمْ عَدُوًّا،‏‏‏‏ فَتَنْتَصِرُونَ وَتَغْنَمُونَ وَتَسْلَمُونَ،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ تَنْصَرِفُونَ حَتَّى تَنْزِلُوا بِمَرْجٍ ذِي تُلُولٍ،‏‏‏‏ فَيَرْفَعُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الصَّلِيبِ الصَّلِيبَ،‏‏‏‏ فَيَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ غَلَبَ الصَّلِيبُ،‏‏‏‏ فَيَغْضَبُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ،‏‏‏‏ فَيَقُومُ إِلَيْهِ فَيَدُقُّهُ،‏‏‏‏ فَعِنْدَ ذَلِكَ تَغْدِرُ الرُّومُ وَيَجْتَمِعُونَ لِلْمَلْحَمَةِ .

Urdu Translation

حسان بن عطیہ کہتے ہیں کہ   مکحول اور ابن ابی زکریا، خالد بن معدان کی طرف مڑے، اور میں بھی ان کے ساتھ مڑا، خالد نے جبیر بن نفیر کے واسطہ سے بیان کیا کہ جبیر نے مجھ سے کہا کہ تم ہمارے ساتھ ذی مخمر رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس چلو، جو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے صحابہ میں سے تھے، چنانچہ میں ان دونوں کے ہمراہ چلا، ان سے صلح کے متعلق سوال کیا تو انہوں نے کہا: میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا ہے: عنقریب ہی روم والے تم سے ایک پر امن صلح کریں گے، اور تمہارے ساتھ مل کر دشمن سے لڑیں گے، پھر تم فتح حاصل کرو گے، اور بہت سا مال غنیمت ہاتھ آئے گا، اور تم لوگ سلامتی کے ساتھ جنگ سے لوٹو گے یہاں تک کہ تم ایک تروتازہ اور سرسبز مقام پر جہاں ٹیلے وغیرہ ہوں گے، اترو گے، وہاں صلیب والوں یعنی رومیوں میں سے ایک شخص صلیب بلند کرے گا، اور کہے گا: صلیب غالب آ گئی، مسلمانوں میں سے ایک شخص غصے میں آئے گا، اور اس کے پاس جا کر صلیب توڑ دے گا، اس وقت رومی عہد توڑ دیں گے، اور سب جنگ کے لیے جمع ہو جائیں گے ۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Jubair bin Nufair said: “Jubair said to me: ‘Let’s go to Dhu Mikhmar, who was a man from among the Companions of the Prophet (ﷺ).’ So I went with them and he asked him about the peace treaty (with the Romans). He said: ‘I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: “The Romans will enter into a peace treaty with you, then you and they will fight one another as enemies, and you will be victorious; you will collect the spoils of war and be safe. Then you will come back until you stop in a meadow with many hillocks. A man from among the people of the Cross will raise the Cross and will say: ‘The Cross has prevailed.’ Then a man among the Muslims will become angry and will go and break the Cross. Then the Romans will prove treacherous (breaking the treaty) (and will gather) for the fierce battle.”
