Names Of Islamic Countries In Africa

Africa is the second largest continent by both population and area. Several Islamic countries are present in the continent.

If we look at Islamic countries and Muslims in Africa, nearly one third of the Muslim population can be found in Africa. Islam has dominant presence in the northern Africa, horn of Africa, Western Africa and mainly in the Swahili coast. The Muslims in South Africa are in minority however.

Islam in Africa was first spread from Southwest Asia. Islamic practice in Africa is not constant in Africa as it is redefined by existing political, social and economical situation.
