Literal meaning of the word “truth” is that, it is a name of Allah All-Mighty and used for justice, reality, guidance, the holy Qur’an, and the value etc also. And in this article this is used as the entire commandments of Allah Almighty. In the way that if any Muslim acts upon them, he will feel peace and coolness of his faith by heart. The holy Qur’an reveals that by the ’zikr’ i.e. remembrance of Allah, the hearts of the faithful believers get comfort and satisfaction.
There are many categories of “zikr” like establishing salah, reciting the holy Qur’an, offering nafl, (a voluntary act of salah that is not obligatory) and reciting “La i laha illallah”“subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, Allahoakbar etc.
It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“There are three things; whoever has them has found the taste of faith (One of the narrators) Bundar said: ‘The sweetness of faith; When he loves a man and only loves him for the sake of Allah. When Allah and His Messenger are more beloved to him than anything else; and when being thrown into the fire is dearer to him than going back to disbelief after Allah has saved him from it.”
This sweetness of faith that is mentioned in this hadith, is the real peace, tranquility and the coolness of the hearts that can be had by ‘zikr’ and by acting upon Islamic teachings.
May Allah Almighty award this great blessing to every faithful believer, Amin.
