Pakistan day, Lahore resolution

Pakistan day is the day to recall and celebrated annually to memorialize the acceptance of the Pakistan Resolution by the All India Muslim League on March 23, 1940. It was held at Lahore’s Minto Park (now Iqbal Park) and was presented by A K Fazlul Haq.

Chaudhry Rehmat Ali declared name Pakistan in 28th January 1933, Pakistani National Anthem was written by Hafeez Jullundhri in 1952 and Sir Muhammad Zafarullah Khan was the author of Pakistan resolution.

According to Sir Syed Ahmed khan’s “two nation theory” and his idea for the separate country, the Lahore Resolution confirmed to be an effective struggle by the Muslims of the subcontinent for division of india. Muslims of the sub-continent of India avowed their commitment to achieve an independence state of their own where they can live with comfort and peacefully. Quaid e Azam M.Ali Jinnah was the first who demanded a separate and single homeland for Muslims in the subcontinent since Hindus and Muslims they both have immense difference in religion, culture, customs, norms, values, concepts and civilization. He built a separate homeland for Muslims and Allama Iqbal woke the conscience the Muslims of the sub-continents by his philosophic works. The Lahore Resolution proved to be a successful long struggle by the Muslims of the subcontinent for their emancipation from British rule. It took almost seven years after the Pakistan Resolution to give final shape to the new state of Pakistan.

23 March declared as public holiday. Offices and other educational institutes are remain closed on this day. The whole nation celebrates Pakistan day enthusiastically by gatherings, rallies, sessions, seminars and functions throughout the country, this is the day with full of devotion, faith, dedication, loyalty, and happiness because Muslim came to know as a separate nation. This day managed by our armed force and also media celebrates this day by organizing TV shows, radio programs, poetries, songs to pay tribute to the national leaders. Moreover, morning shows are organized by media channels and various brands also offer sales and discounts just to show patriotism to the Pakistanis. Besides, schools, colleges, universities and other educational institutes celebrate this day with full of dedications by organizing debates, stage shows, patriotic dramas etc. Most of the people also visit Minar-e-Pakistan with their families to show patriotism.

To celebrate the historic day of this landmark, the government and non-governmental arrangements are organized in Pakistan. This patriotic day reminds us that we should follow according to Islamic and democratic principles, on this day we need to think about it that are we people’s sovereignty, the sovereignty has completely established? Are minorities fully protected? The difference between poor and rich has decreased? Exploitation system has ended? Are we going to prosperity? Is our position is high as compare to other countries? We must find these questions on 23 March .if we really follow these things, Pakistan can be stronger financially, economically and politically. Our country faced many problems throughout the history and never gave up. We should non- violent, belief ourselves and unite on Yaum e Pakistan. We should stand for our nation. There should be a free from dictatorship and democratic Islamic Pakistan and we should remember that Pakistan is our country which we have got from many sacrifices and struggle and Pakistan is the proud of youth, particularly for students who are nation builders of tomorrow, they must furnish themselves by discipline, education and productiveness. May our country be bestowed with the blessing of peace. We wish our Pakistan will have sustainable progress, it will be more developed, more spiritual, and have strong social, political and economic life.
