One of the most disturbing social issue is domestic violence. Domestic violence not only troubles the person who is facing it but it has the impact on other people as well. Domestic violence is increasing day by day.

Anyone can be victim of it but majorly wives or married woman faced this abuse. When proper protocol is not taken these victims faced death and which can become news and scare and affect mental health of other women in society.

What is Domestic Violence?
Domestic violence is the behavior in which you try to control your partner, spouse or any close family member. Domestic abuse can be sexual, emotional, financial and physical too.

These behavior can have serious impact on victim physical and mental health. These abuses makes you scared and in result you lose your confidence.

The behavior which afraids, hurts, injures, harms, blames or gives you wound count as a abuse. The person of any age, gender and belonging to any religion can be victim.
Domestic violence can happen in any partnership whether you are married or a dating couple. However domestic violence can deeply affect people

Victim of Domestic Violence
Anyone can be affected with the domestic violence whether it’s a kid or grownup adult. It has nothing to do with the age or gender.

Causes of Domestic Violence
Anyone who has witnessed a family devastated by domestic violence can understand why someone would act in this manner. Many domestic violence perpetrators strike without warning.

However there must be some casues of Domestic violence, lets have a look:
Poverty and Joblessness
Domestic violence is more likely to occur among those who are in financial distress. Domestic abuse affects half of the homeless women and children. One of the key causes of this tendency is that abuse victims in poverty frequently lack the financial resources to flee the situation.

History
In the past, society was dominated by men. So, even if patriarchy and male supremacy do not exist in every corner of society, eradicating one of the major causes of domestic violence all at once is not fully doable. As a result, one of the key causes of domestic violence is the superiority complex .

Cultural Aspects
When two people from different cultures decide to marry, it is not necessary that they are both aware of the cultural differences. Although it may appear thrilling at first, cultural differences can become one of the most common reasons of domestic violence over time.

Study related to Domestic Violence
According to a report conducted by Human Rights Watch in 2009, between ten and twenty percent of women in Pakistan have experienced some sort of abuse.
Every year, an estimated 5000 women are killed by domestic abuse, with tens of thousands more injured or crippled.

However this study proves that we have man dominating society where female mostly suffers as you see every year 5000 feamles are killed due to domestic violence.
In an observational study published in the Pakistan Journal of Medical Sciences, based on a convenience sample of 218 women interviewed in three hospitals' gynaecology wards, 97 percent of the women said they had been victims of some form of assault, ranging from verbal abuse or threats to being beaten or subjected to non-consensual sex.

According to a research conducted by the United Nations, 50% of married women have experienced sexual assault and 90% have been mentally abused.

Most of the cases of Domestic violence or abuse from lower class are not even reported in the fear of losing respect in society. Many women keep themselves in the toxic relations as they have been told by their parents that divorce is not appropriate option and there is nothing wrong if your spouse slaps. But these poor souls end up giving their lives.

Recently in July 2021, we have heard about three murders because of domestic within a month. Just imagine we got to know as they were discovered by the Authorities.

Domestic abuse is prevalent in Pakistani households, according to studies conducted by the Pakistan Nation Women's Division and Zakar et al.

The main criminal is our government and mothers of these man who raise them with wrong ethics. We, as a nation are lacking as we don’t have good law and order.

However there must be punishments against domestic violence but there is no implement seen as such. We need to give punishment to these animals so other people can take lessons.

Other criminal that are the mothers. You will not deny the importance of mothers in raising a kid. The mothers always teach the sons that male is superior while female is inferior. Moreover they are told that they can do anything.
 
From their teenage they should be teach that both genders are equals and any kind of violence is not good act. But parents in turn hide their sons mistakes.

Make Yourself Available
If someone you know is considering leaving or is concerned that the violence will worsen, be ready to assist them. Make sure to keep your phone charged and it should not be on silence

Check in on a regular basis
If a loved one or acquaintance is in danger, keep in touch with him or her on a regular basis to secure his or her safety.
