Today, I have discussed the Law Graduate Assessment Test in all aspects. Those who have done their bachelor's degree in Law must appear in Law GAT to acquire Bar Council License. The Higher Education Commission with corroboration by Educational Test Council has been conducting Law GAT thrice a year. According to Supreme Court Precedent (PLD-2018 SC-) who has acquired 50% marks in LAW GAT has applied for the license. In this regard, Punjab Bar Council has increased the number of attempts to clear Law Gat. Now students will avail themselves of five chances to clear Law Gat. It is pertinent to mention here that no one will claim less than marks to pass out.
Now come to the point a question which is arising by the Law Gat students in last examine i.e which were held on 24th July 2022. In this examination the students have been confused with shall, may, can, and cannot in the CPC portion. All students should memorize where “shall” is using its mean it is asked to you which is a mandatory clause. In Law shall be used as a mandatory clause. May is denoting a discretionary clause. The Courts have the right to decide to adopt or refuse to accept. As simultaneously words “but” or “except” is common sense questions.
Conversely, the young lawyer’s forum calls up a strike on 11th August-2022 to condemn the HEC law Gat examination. In my sense this strike is ridiculous. In my perception, all young lawyers should adopt the legal concept and equip themselves with knowledge of the law and the art of advocacy. These types of strikes are waste of time and money and turn an adverse atmosphere in the field of law.
Conversely, the syllabus of Law Gat is very difficult to cover within two months. However, I have to share logical tips to easily pass out this examination. The syllabus of CPC are containing a few sections and orders. (20-Marks). The Sections 9 to 12, 15 to 20, 47, 75, 96, and 104. As simultaneously CPC orders i.e 1, 6 to IX-A, 39 to 43. It is a very short syllabus to get maximum marks.
On the opposite side, the QSO-1984 is a complete subject but it is easy to cover in a short time. (20-Marks). There are a few important articles to memories to attempt maximum MCQ. Article-3, 9- 22-A, (Admission 30-36), 45, 73 to 76, 83, 114-Estople, (legitimacy of child 128), (leading Question 137 to 139), A-150, A-155), 161 and 163 should memorize. On the other hand, the syllabus of the Pakistan Bar Council Act-1974 is very short i.e. sections 134 to 175-A. (10-marks). These three subjects will enhance your knowledge to acquire passing marks. All should focus on these three subjects. In PPC, CR.PC should memorize the date of promulgation of these Acts and when made. Over and above, the short definitions of Cr.PC will useful. All other six subjects will prepare in the last fifteen days as multiple choice questions. (50-Marks)
