Arham Shami & Daughter of Gaza

(Arham Shami, Faisalabad)

Today, I had the opportunity to converse with Shimaa Abu Qasim, the Daughter of Gaza. Hesitantly, I asked her how she was. She replied, "Alhamdulillah!" I then asked why she didn’t migrate to Egypt.

She said, "We do not leave our country; we die in it, it does not matter."

She expressed her happiness in meeting me, and I told her, "والله لا أستطيع النوم" ("I swear I can't sleep"). She appreciated my writings for Gaza, especially when many Muslim leaders remain silent, and said, "جميل شعرك رائع" ("Your poetry is very amazing"). She also said, "وشكرا لك على وقوفك معنا فأنتم أحرار ابناء احرار" ("Thank you for standing with us; you are free people, children of free people.").

I responded by stating that our politicians are slaves, beggars, and shameless servants of the Zionists. While discussing various topics, she said, "سعيدة جدا اني تعرفت على شخصية مثلك" ("I am very happy to have met a person like you"). I replied, "أنا سعيد جدًا لأنه أتيحت لي الفرصة للتحدث مع أحد المجاهدين" ("I am very happy to have had the opportunity to speak with a mujahida like you").

When I asked about food, she said they don’t have any; they are just surviving.

She shared:

("We live under constant threat, fearing for our lives and the lives of our loved ones. The children here deserve to grow up in a safe environment, to play and go to school without fear. We need medical treatment, clean food and water, and hope for a better tomorrow.

We only ask for peace and justice. We ask you to raise your voices for us, to demand an end to violence and the achievement of justice. Every human being has the right to a dignified life, and we are no exception.

Thank you to everyone who supports us and stands in solidarity with us.")

She further emphasized, "نحن لسنا مجرد أرقام، لك شخص منا حلم وحياة كان يريد وما زال يريد عيشها" ("We are not just numbers; each of us has dreams and a life we want to live").

I urged her to consider migrating under the current circumstances, but she firmly said, "انا بنت بلدي ما بطلع من بلدي وما بطلع من بيتي حتى لو بدي اموت" ("I am the daughter of my country. I will never leave my country, and if I must die, I will die in my country").

I told her, "زادك الله إيمانا. فلتزيد محبتك أيضًا إيماني" ("May Allah increase your faith. May your love also increase my faith").

Shimaa’s strength and steadfastness in her faith were truly inspiring. I felt honored to speak with her and requested that she remember me in her prayers. She promised to do so. I told her that, InshaAllah, when the time comes, we will avenge these atrocities and never forget.

Muslims, stand up for Gaza. Don’t be shameless. Don’t become worse than animals. Don’t be part of Zionism. Don’t trade your Deen, belief, Iman. Don’t be beggars and servants, dogs of the Zionists. It’s time to break the silence and revive your dead hearts with the light of Iman, Islam & Jihad.

Remember, Pakistan was made in the name of Allah and Muhammad (PBUH). Its aim was to be a powerful Islamic country. If we cannot speak for justice and humanity, then we are worse than animals. As Allah says in the Quran:

"And We have certainly created for Hell many of the jinn and mankind. They have hearts with which they do not understand, they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear. Those are like animals; rather, they are more astray. It is they who are the heedless."

This Ayah is for those shameless people who are not ready to understand, who see what is happening in Gaza but remain silent as if they don’t see or hear. The Quran says they are worse than animals.
