Backwardness Of Education

(Ambrina Dar, Jhelum)

Education means to adopt good things from our elders. It means to seek knowledge from our parents and teachers. I think everyone knows it very well. But when we talk about our education system especially in Pakistan, suddenly a light sparks in our mind what kind of education system we want to give to our up coming generation?

The answer is not as simple as we think. In my opinion, no body wants to adopt an irrelevant education and to transfer it to our children. When I compare my country, Pakistan to the developed countries like America, Britain, China etc. I feel we are very backward in our education system.

There are some reasons in the backwardness of education system and those reasons are:

1). There are lack of govt. colleges and universities in Pakistan.
2). There are lacks of schools especially in some villages. We find that schools in villages  face many problems like shortage of teachers, no availability of computers, lack of modern education, old mat system etc.
3). When we look at our colleges, they lack qualified professors. Because of this, students don’t want to attend the class and don’t pay full attention to their studies.
4). One more thing, which I saw in some colleges that there was no specialist subjects lecturers.
Today, when we look to developed countries we find that they train their students by physical and mental health. Here are some suggestions, which we want to adopt to upgrade our education system. Here’s they are:
1). We need to build more and more schools in villages away from cities.
2). We need to teach religion as well as modern education to our children.
3). It is necessary to give computer and technical education to our students.
4). The govt. of Pakistan should play role to upgrade our education system  by appointing fresh post graduate teachers.
5). The government should provide adequate funds to schools, colleges and universities so that they are able to maintain high professional standards.
6). The ministry of education must take action against those teaching staffs that only come on their duty to take salary, make some gossips and pay no attention on education.
7). It is necessary to train our students by physical and mental level to face challenges in their lives. Not only students it is necessary to give proper guidance and basic training to our  teachers too.

There is need to add more material in the article but I think it is enough to write. At the end, I only want to say that if we give proper education to our students then they would shine at the peak of any field.
