By the grace of ALLAH, we all
are Muslim, a nation of the last prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). It is the duty of
every Muslim to love our beloved prophet (S.A.W). Without his love our "Eman" is
considered to be incomplete. But to show our love is not the necessary
requirement. On 12th of Rabbi-ul-Awal Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) came to this
world. Each year Muslims celebrate this day with great enthusiasm. But it is
heartrending to know that like both the other Eid days (Eid-ul-fitr and Eid –ul-Alazha)
the real purpose behind this day is lost, which is not to organize mega events
of Milaad but to remember the life of Prophet (S.A.W) and adopting his teachings
by heart.
Nowadays month of Rabi-ul-Awal has become the month of Mega Milaads; worst of
all is that even in these Milaads praising the Prophet is not the main
objective. They are a good source to show off your wealth and status in the
society. Women spend their time and money making expensive and glittering
dresses and men are found busy following the tightly scheduled Naat Khawan on
whom money is thrown lavishly.
Eid which is an event of sharing happiness has become a mode of creating social
evils in the society like inferiority complex. Poor people who can not attend
such events feel themselves cut out from the society of such so called pious men
like a bad rotting apple separated from the basket of fresh apples. If Eid
Milaad-un-Nabi is only a of Milaad bonanza then government should come forward
and cancel this public holiday, which is given to remember the simple life of
our beloved Prophet (S.A.W) not to fret about attending and organizing Milaads.
