“Love for one’s country is a part of Faith”
(Muhammad Arsalan Ilyas, karachi,Pakistan)
“Love for one’s country is part
of faith”. This Hadith isn’t proven authentic but we should know that love for
our country greatly matters. Doing what we can for our country is obligatory for
us and especially for a Muslim. Our homeland should be the place where we spend
our whole life. If you say “I love Pakistan” that doesn’t mean anything. Our
actions show who we really are and what we really feel.
So just saying that we love our country and then leave it, to stay in another
country for, a so called “safe life’’ is just worthless. We should know that it
is by Allah’s will everything happens and if he wants us safe we can even be
safe if we get shot on the head, and if he wants us dead than we can be dead
even in the safest country in the world! The reason is that now days almost
every person’s Emaan is weak and people just care about worldly things rather
than spiritual.
But the real reason we are living in a separate nation IS to practice our
religion. The reason Pakistan was made was for us to be good Muslims and to
practice our religion peacefully. Had it not been so we would have been living
in Hindustan and suffering at the hands of the Hindus. But because of the mercy
of Allah سبحانہ وتعالی, the sacrifices of ulama-i-keram, Quaid-i-Azam and our
great poet, Allama Iqbal we are here today safe and sound, Alhumdulillah, and
able to practice Islam peacefully. After getting everything we wanted why is it
that we’ve walked away? After all the sacrifices our leaders made for us we
thank them like this? We should be grateful to them for giving us freedom.
Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: “He who is not grateful to His people
can never be truly grateful to Allah”. (Ahmad, Tirmidhi)
We should be grateful to Allah for giving us such leaders in the past who made
this country possible to live in, we should thank Allah for granting us freedom
though we don’t deserve it! It is Allah by whose will we are living here and He
is the real one to thank.
“During the last five months of its existence, Pakistan has had to face terrible
trials and tribulations and to suffer tragedies which are almost without
parallel in the history of mankind. We have, however, withstood these calamities
with courage and fortitude. Through our perseverance, labour and sacrifice we
will make Pakistan a great and powerful nation. Pakistan has come to stay and no
power on earth can destroy it.”
These words were spoken by Quaid-i-Azam while addressing the people of USA in
Februrary 1948.
Yet, people of Pakistan are the very ones who are bent on destroying Pakistan!
Our Quaid had so much hope and trust in us that he said with his full
determination that Pakistan will be a great nation Insha’Allah! But this still
doesn’t change anything because now we are immovable and have forgotten truly
what the Quaid told us! It would take more than just saying “I love Pakistan” to
solve the problem we have ourselves created.
We need to do something! We need to un-glue our chairs, stand up and do
something for our country, try to bring alive our Quaid’s message in Pakistan
and bring a change because CHANGE is what we need!
Pakistan Zindabad!
