Our Educational System
(Sheikh Muhammad Farjad, Karachi)
                According to Albert Einstein,
“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of mind to think”.
This quote reflects an amazing thought of a great scientist. But, we are being
educated without learning to use mind and without learning the facts also.
That’s why our beloved Pakistan is facing various problems like poverty,
illiteracy, ignorance and corruption.
The system of Notes and Guess papers has spoiled the future of Pakistan, because
our students are taught to gain high obtained marks and due to this, they start
their struggle to learn the matter contained by Notes and Guess Papers. On the
one hand, Coaching centers have invented unique and corrupted way to earn living
and on the other hand, our corrupted teachers don’t want to be tired and that’s
why they urge our students to learn Notes, instead of Books. The most
interesting and shameful matter is that approximately our 90% students study
without understanding the topics. If we won’t teach our students to use their
minds then how can we solve the problems of Pakistan??
Whenever, our creative and genius students ask difficult questions (the
question, which’s answer teacher does not know) to teachers in order to gain
knowledge, and then they are mocked and argued by teachers. But, I want to tell
this type of students that if you are mocked by teachers for asking questions
then you have a bright and successful future. View the history of great people
then you will come to know that they were also mocked by their teacher to argue
them the best examples are Galileo and Thomas Edison. But, if you are mocked by
your gathering then view the history of Nikola Tesla, then you will know that he
died poorly but his inventions have changed the world.
My last request to solve these problems is that Non-Merit teachers should not be
allowed to teach students. Students must be able to solve questions themselves.
The profession of teaching should not be chosen as optional profession. Mostly,
people chose teaching as a profession, when they have no better choice to earn
their living. But, it is not a source of earning only but it is a time period in
which future of a country is built.
For a successful and prosperous future of Pakistan, it’s our duty to contribute
in struggle against evil activities to maintain peace and prosperity in society.
If we can’t contribute then we don’t have any rights to protest and to say
against our government!
According to me (Sheikh Muhammad Farjad):
“Education is a key, which can open each and every doors of Success!”
