After death there are only two places for man,
Paradise or the Hell. Paradise is very comfortable and luxury place and there
are so many favors and blessings of God that no one can count them. The holy
Qur’an reveals,” And give glad tidings (O Mohammad) unto those who believe and
do good works; that there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow; as often as
they are regaled with food of the fruit thereof; they say: This is what was
given us aforetime; and it is given to them in resemblance; There, for them are
pure companions; there forever they abide”. (Al-Baqarah: 25) Also the holy
Qur’an reveals,” (And) those who believe and do good works are the best of
created beings. Their reward is with their Lord: Gardens of Eden underneath
which rivers flow, wherein they dwell forever. Allah hath pleasure in them and
they have pleasure in Him. (This is (in store) for him who fearth his Lord. (Al-Bayyenah:
8 ) It has been clear now that every faithful believer should try his best to go
in Paradise by good actions and if it is so, then it is the great success for
man. The holy Qur’an reveals,” Whoso is removed from the Fire and is made to
enter Paradise, he indeed is triumphant. The life of this world is but comfort
of illusion. (Family of Imran: 185)
Abu Hurarah, a renowned companion (May God be pleased with him) narrated from
the Holy Prophet (May peace and Mercy of Allah be upon him) He said,” when a
Muslim removes any pain or trouble from another Muslim, then Allah Subhanahu wa
Ta’ala will remove his troubles and miserable conditions at the Day of Judgment
in its reward, and when a Muslim turns his eyes away from the faults and defects
of another Muslim, then Allah will set a veil over his sins and faults at the
Day of Judgment. And when a Muslim solves the difficulties of another Muslim,
Allah will solve his difficulties at the Day of Judgment in its reward, and
Allah Helps that believer permanently who helps other believers, and when a
Muslim goes out to get the knowledge for Islamic teachings, then Allah will make
the way easy for him to Paradise in its reward. And when some Muslims gather in
a mosque for reciting the Holy Qur’an or to teach it to other Muslims, then the
peace comes down over them, and the Mercy of Allah covers them, and Angels
gather around them, and Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala mentions about these Muslims
before the Angels that exist near Him. (Sahih Muslim)
The holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said,” every man has three friends, wealth,
family and Amal” it means good or bad actions.
Religious scholars say that first friend wealth says to man,” my friendship is
limited till your life, when you will die, it will be cut off! (Because wealth
will be distributed among the heirs). And his second friend (family) says,” my
friendship with you is limited till you will be buried in the grave. When you
will die, I shall give you a bath, wear shroud (Coffin) and burry in the grave,
and then nothing else after it. While the third friend ‘Amal’ (actions, good or
bad) says to him,” my friendship with you is everlasting; I shall be with you in
the grave and at the Day of Judgment when your accountability will be going on.
This hadith reveals that everyone has three friends, while the company of two
friends is temporary, mortal and limited to this world. While the company of
third friend ‘Amal’ is everlasting and cannot be separated by him. The holy
Qur’an reveals,” Wealth and children are ornament of life of the world. But the
good deeds which endure are better in thy Lord’s sight for reward and better in
respect of hope” (Al-Kahf: 46).
These traditions of the holy Prophet (PBUH) reveal that the good actions of a
Muslim will lead him to Paradise at the Day of Resurrection. For example,
removing any pain and trouble from others, help the poor and needy ones, paying
the poor due and alms giving, to set a veil on others defects or flaws, and
going out for getting Islamic knowledge etc.
In fact, entire Islamic teachings consist of love, affection, brotherhood and to
share in others pain and trouble. And the Muslim who acts upon them, will surely
be entered in Paradise.
May Allah give us strength to act upon them for the hope of entering in
Paradise.
