An Old man's Tale
(Asghar Ali Javed, Sheikhupura)
A feeble man sitting in a tram
, moving from Lahore to Islamabad, pushed his spectacles repeatedly over his
nose and asked an old woman sitting beside a young lady,"Perhaps you
........you're...... I mean...are you the same?" Women remained quite.
Tram stopped in front of a hotel. The old man alighted for tea.The young lady
enquired, "What was that old man asking for?" "Bugger him off, he seems a
phrenetic man" old woman replied. While alighting at Rawalpindi station old lady
whispered to feeble, "Yes Ahmad Ali, I'm the same but...but... we are not more
than puppets in His hands.
