PUBLIC HOLIDAY ON 9TH NOV " IQBAL DAY"

(Qurrat ul ain Nasir, Karachi)

Iqbal Day is the birthday of Allama Muhammad Iqbal observed on 9th November every year. Unfortunately, this day is no longer a public holiday in Pakistan, except the Province of KPK. A great legend Iqbal wrote poems for the Muslims and motivated them to wake up and fight for freedom.

He devoted all his life for the Muslims but in the return, we are not giving any respect to the legend Iqbal. Celebrating Iqbal Day is in fact a recognition of his contribution for having an independent country for us. He persuaded Quid e Azam to come back from England and steer the freedom movement for the Muslims of the Subcontinent. The schools, colleges and other institutions of higher education should hold competitions and seminars on this day. May we find a great poet like Iqbal in future. I request concerned authorities to observe Iqbal Day every year and seek inspiration and guidance from his poetry.
