وَ مَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ اَنْ تَمُوْتَ اِلَّا بِاِذْنِ اللّٰهِ كِتٰبًا مُّؤَجَّلًاؕ-وَ مَنْ یُّرِدْ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْیَا نُؤْتِهٖ مِنْهَاۚ-وَ مَنْ یُّرِدْ ثَوَابَ الْاٰخِرَةِ نُؤْتِهٖ مِنْهَاؕ-وَ سَنَجْزِی الشّٰكِرِیْنَ ﴿۱۴۵﴾

اور کوئی جان بے حکم خدا مر نہیں سکتی (ف۲۵۹) سب کا وقت لکھا رکھا ہے (ف۲۶۰) اور دنیا کا انعام چاہے ۰ف۲۶۱) ہم اس میں سے اسے دیں اور جو آخرت کا انعام چاہے ہم اس میں سے اسے دیں (ف۲۶۲) اور قریب ہے کہ ہم شکر والوں کو صلہ عطا کریں، ﴿۱۴۵﴾
(ترجمہ: کنزالایمان) اور کسی شخص میں طاقت نہیں کہ خدا کے حکم کے بغیر مر جائے (اس نے موت کا) وقت مقرر کر کے لکھ رکھا ہے اور جو شخص دنیا میں (اپنے اعمال کا) بدلہ چاہے اس کو ہم یہیں بدلہ دے دیں گے اور جو آخرت میں طالبِ ثواب ہو اس کو وہاں اجر عطا کریں گے اور ہم شکر گزاروں کو عنقریب (بہت اچھا) صلہ دیں گے ﴿۱۴۵﴾

No soul can ever die except by Allah's leave and at a term appointed. Whoso desireth the reward of the world, We bestow on him thereof; and whoso desireth the reward of the Hereafter, We bestow on him thereof. We shall reward the thankful. ﴾145﴿
