Surah Yusuf Ayat 42 in Arabic
وَقَالَ لِلَّذِىۡ ظَنَّ اَنَّهٗ نَاجٍ مِّنۡهُمَا اذۡكُرۡنِىۡ عِنۡدَ رَبِّكَ فَاَنۡسٰٮهُ الشَّيۡطٰنُ ذِكۡرَ رَبِّهٖ فَلَبِثَ فِىۡ السِّجۡنِ بِضۡعَ سِنِيۡنَ ﴿۴۲﴾
Surah Yusuf Ayat 42 with Urdu Translation
اور یوسف نے ان دونوں میں سے جسے بچتا سمجھا (ف۱۱۴) اس سے کہا اپنے رب (بادشاہ) کے پاس میرا ذکر کرنا (ف۱۱۵) تو شیطان نے اسے بھلا دیا کہ اپنے رب (بادشاہ) کے سامنے یوسف کا ذکر کرے تو یوسف کئی برس اور جیل خانہ میں رہا (ف۱۱۶) ﴿۴۲﴾

اور دونوں شخصوں میں سے جس کی نسبت (یوسف نے) خیال کیا کہ وہ رہائی پا جائے گا اس سے کہا کہ اپنے آقا سے میرا ذکر بھی کرنا لیکن شیطان نے ان کا اپنے آقا سے ذکر کرنا بھلا دیا اور یوسف کئی برس جیل خانے میں رہے ﴿۴۲﴾

Surah Yusuf Ayat 42 with English Translation
And he said unto him of the twain who he knew would be released: Mention me in the presence of thy lord. But Satan caused him to forget to mention it to his lord, so he (Joseph) stayed in prison for some years. ﴾42﴿
