حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا رَأَى مَخِيلَةً أَقْبَلَ وَأَدْبَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِذَا مَطَرَتْ سُرِّيَ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَمَا أَدْرِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَعَلَّهُ كَمَا قَالَ اللَّه تَعَالَى:‏‏‏‏ فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ عَارِضًا مُسْتَقْبِلَ أَوْدِيَتِهِمْ قَالُوا هَذَا عَارِضٌ مُمْطِرُنَا سورة الأحقاف آية 24 . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ.

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب برسنے والا کوئی بادل دیکھتے تو آگے بڑھتے پیچھے ہٹتے ( اندر آتے باہر جاتے ) مگر جب بارش ہونے لگتی تو اسے دیکھ خوش ہو جاتے، میں نے عرض کیا: ایسا کیوں کرتے ہیں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”میں ( صحیح ) جانتا تو نہیں شاید وہ کچھ ایسا ہی نہ ہو جیسا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا ہے «فلما رأوه عارضا مستقبل أوديتهم قالوا هذا عارض ممطرنا» ”جب انہوں نے اسے بحیثیت بادل اپنی وادیوں کی طرف آتے ہوئے دیکھا تو انہوں نے کہا: یہ بادل ہم پر برسنے آ رہا ہے، بلکہ یہ وہ عذاب ہے جس کی تم نے جلدی مچا رکھی تھی ( آندھی ہے کہ جس میں نہایت درد ناک عذاب ہے ) “ ( الاحقاف: ۲۴ ) ۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated 'Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her]: When the Prophet (ﷺ) saw storm clouds he would pace back and forth. And when it rained, he would relax. She said: I said something to him about that, and he said: 'What do I know? Maybe it is as Allah, Most High said: Then, when they saw it as a dense cloud approaching their valleys, they said: This is a cloud bringing us rain (46:24). '
