حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَلَقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَلَقَ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَصَّرَ بَعْضُهُمْ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ رَحِمَ اللَّهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ مَرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنِ أُمِّ الْحُصَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَارِبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحُبْشِيِّ بْنِ جُنَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يَخْتَارُونَ لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يَحْلِقَ رَأْسَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنْ قَصَّرَ يَرَوْنَ أَنَّ ذَلِكَ يُجْزِئُ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالشَّافِعِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَحْمَدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِسْحَاقَ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سر منڈوایا، صحابہ کی ایک جماعت نے بھی سر مونڈوایا اور بعض لوگوں نے بال کتروائے۔ ابن عمر کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک بار یا دو بار فرمایا: ”اللہ سر مونڈانے والوں پر رحم فرمائے“، پھر فرمایا: ”کتروانے والوں پر بھی“ ۱؎۔

English Translation

Ibn Umar narrated that: The Messenger of Allah said: May Allah have mercy upon those who shaved saying it one or two times, then he said: And those who shortened.
