Jabir narrated: When we performed our Hajj with the Prophet we would say the Talbiyah for the women and we would stone for the boys.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل الْوَاسِطِيُّ، قَال:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ سَوَّارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنَّا إِذَا حَجَجْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكُنَّا نُلَبِّي عَنِ النِّسَاءِ وَنَرْمِي عَنِ الصِّبْيَانِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ أَجْمَعَ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ عَلَى أَنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ لَا يُلَبِّي عَنْهَا غَيْرُهَا بَلْ هِيَ تُلَبِّي عَنْ نَفْسِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيُكْرَهُ لَهَا رَفْعُ الصَّوْتِ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ.

جابر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   جب ہم نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ حج کیا تو ہم عورتوں کی طرف سے تلبیہ کہتے اور بچوں کی طرف سے رمی کرتے تھے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث غریب ہے، ہم اسے صرف اسی طریق سے جانتے ہیں، ۲- اہل علم کا اس بات پر اتفاق ہے کہ عورت کی طرف سے کوئی دوسرا تلبیہ نہیں کہے گا، بلکہ وہ خود ہی تلبیہ کہے گی البتہ اس کے لیے تلبیہ میں آواز بلند کرنا مکروہ ہے۔
