Sahih Bukhari Hadith No. 1099

باب کتاب نماز میں قصر کرنے کا بیان

Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah: The Prophet used to pray (the Nawafil) on his Mount facing east and whenever he wanted to offer the compulsory prayer, he used to dismount and face the Qibla.

حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ ، فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ نَزَلَ فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ .

ہم سے معاذ بن فضالہ نے بیان کیا کہا کہ ہم سے ہشام نے یحییٰ سے بیان کیا ان سے محمد بن عبدالرحمٰن بن ثوبان نے بیان کیا انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ مجھ سے جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنی اونٹنی پر مشرق کی طرف منہ کئے ہوئے نماز پڑھتے تھے اور جب فرض پڑھتے تو سواری سے اتر جاتے اور پھر قبلہ کی طرف رخ کر کے پڑھتے۔

Narrated Hafs bin `Asim: Ibn `Umar went on a journey and said, I accompanied the Prophet and he did not offer optional prayers during the journey, and Allah says: 'Verily! In Allah's Apostle you have a good example to follow.' (33.21) ..

Narrated `Abdullah bin Amir that his father had told him that he had seen the Prophet (p.b.u.h) praying Nawafil at night on the back of his Mount on a journey, facing whatever direction it took. ..
