حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ ، سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، قَالَ : قَدِمَ مُعَاوِيَةُ الْمَدِينَةَ آخِرَ قَدْمَةٍ قَدِمَهَا فَخَطَبَنَا ، فَأَخْرَجَ كُبَّةً مِنْ شَعَرٍ قَالَ : مَا كُنْتُ أَرَى أَحَدًا يَفْعَلُ هَذَا غَيْرَ الْيَهُودِ ، إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمَّاهُ الزُّورَ ، يَعْنِي الْوَاصِلَةَ فِي الشَّعَرِ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے آدم بن ابی ایاس نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عمرو بن مرہ نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے سعید بن مسیب سے سنا، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ   معاویہ رضی اللہ عنہ آخری مرتبہ مدینہ منورہ تشریف لائے اور ہمیں خطبہ دیا۔ آپ نے بالوں کا ایک گچھا نکال کے کہا کہ یہ یہودیوں کے سوا اور کوئی نہیں کرتا تھا۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے «زور‏.‏» یعنی فریبی فرمایا یعنی جو بالوں میں جوڑ لگائے تو ایسا آدمی مرد ہو یا عورت وہ مکار ہے جو اپنے مکر و فریب پر اس طور پر پردہ ڈالتا ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Sa`id bin Al-Musaiyab: Mu'awiya came to Medina for the last time and delivered a sermon. He took out a tuft of hair and said, I thought that none used to do this (i.e. use false hair) except Jews. The Prophet labelled such practice, (i.e. the use of false hair), as cheating.
