و حَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى التُّجِيبِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أُسَامَةُ أَنَّ يَعْقُوبَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ جِئْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا فَوَجَدْتُهُ جَالِسًا مَعَ أَصْحَابِهِ يُحَدِّثُهُمْ وَقَدْ عَصَّبَ بَطْنَهُ بِعِصَابَةٍ قَالَ أُسَامَةُ وَأَنَا أَشُكُّ عَلَى حَجَرٍ فَقُلْتُ لِبَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ لِمَ عَصَّبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَطْنَهُ فَقَالُوا مِنْ الْجُوعِ فَذَهَبْتُ إِلَى أَبِي طَلْحَةَ وَهُوَ زَوْجُ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ بِنْتِ مِلْحَانَ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَتَاهُ قَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عَصَّبَ بَطْنَهُ بِعِصَابَةٍ فَسَأَلْتُ بَعْضَ أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَالُوا مِنْ الْجُوعِ فَدَخَلَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ عَلَى أُمِّي فَقَالَ هَلْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَقَالَتْ نَعَمْ عِنْدِي كِسَرٌ مِنْ خُبْزٍ وَتَمَرَاتٌ فَإِنْ جَاءَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَحْدَهُ أَشْبَعْنَاهُ وَإِنْ جَاءَ آخَرُ مَعَهُ قَلَّ عَنْهُمْ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ سَائِرَ الْحَدِيثِ بِقِصَّتِهِ

Urdu Translation

  اسامہ نے بتا یا کہ یعقوب بن عبد اللہ بن ابی طلحہ نے انھیں حدیث بیان کی کہ انھوں نے حضرت انس بن ما لک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا کہہ رہے تھے ۔ ایک دن میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس حاضرہوا میں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو مسجدمیں اپنے ساتھیوں کے ساتھ بیٹھے ہو ئے ان سے باتیں کرتے ہو ئے پایا ۔ آپ نے بطن مبا رک پر ایک پتھر کو ایک چوڑی سی پٹی سے باندھ رکھا تھا ۔ ۔ ۔ اسامہ نے کہا : مجھے شک ہے ( کہ یعقوب نے " پتھر " کا لفظ بولا یا نہیں ) ۔ ۔ ۔ میں نے آپ کے ایک ساتھی سے پو چھا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے بطن کو کیوں باندھ رکھاہے؟ لوگوں نے بتا یا : بھوک کی بنا پر ۔ پھر میں ابو طلحہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے پاس گیا وہ ( میری والدہ ) حضرت ام سلیم بنت ملحان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کے خاوندتھے میں نے ان سے کہا : اباجا ن !میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھا ہے کہ آپ نے پیٹ پر پٹی باندھ رکھی ہے میں نے آپ کے بعض صحابہ کرام رضوان اللہ عنھم اجمعین سے پو چھا : اس کا کیا سبب ہے؟ انھوں نے کہا بھوک ۔ پھر حضرت ابو طلحہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ میری ماں کے پاس گئےاور پوچھا : کہ کو ئی چیز ہے؟ انھوں نے کہا : ہاں میرے پاس روٹی کے ٹکڑے اور کچھ کھجوریں ہیں اگر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اکیلے ہمارے پاس تشریف لے آئیں تو ہم آپ کو سیر کر کے کھلا دیں گے ۔ اور اگر کو ئی اور بھی آپ کے ساتھ آیا تو یہ کھانا کم ہو گا پھر باقی ساری حدیث بیان کی ۔

English Translation

Anas b. Malik reported: I visited Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) one day and found him sitting in the company of his Companions and talking to them, and he had tied his belly with a bandage. Usama said: I am in doubt whether there was stone on that (his belly) or not. I asked some of his Companions why Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) had bandaged his belly. They said: (He has done that to relieve) his hunger. I went to Abu Talha, the husband of Umm Sulaim, the daughter of Milhan, and said to him: Father, I saw Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) having bandaged his belly. I asked some of his Companions (the reason of it) and they said that it was due to hunger. Abu Talha came to mv mother and said: Is there anything? She said: Yes, I have some pieces of bread with me and some dates. If Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) comes to us alone we can feed him to his fill, but if someone comes along with him this would be insufficient for them. The rest of the hadith is the same.
