حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ فِيمَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تَحَاجَّ آدَمُ وَمُوسَى فَحَجَّ آدَمُ مُوسَى فَقَالَ لَهُ مُوسَى أَنْتَ آدَمُ الَّذِي أَغْوَيْتَ النَّاسَ وَأَخْرَجْتَهُمْ مِنْ الْجَنَّةِ فَقَالَ آدَمُ أَنْتَ الَّذِي أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ عِلْمَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَاصْطَفَاهُ عَلَى النَّاسِ بِرِسَالَتِهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَتَلُومُنِي عَلَى أَمْرٍ قُدِّرَ عَلَيَّ قَبْلَ أَنْ أُخْلَقَ

Urdu Translation

  ابوزناد نے اعرج سے ، انہوں نے حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " حضرت آدم اور حضرت موسیٰ علیہم السلام نے ایک دوسرے کو دلائل دیے اور آدم علیہ السلام نے موسیٰ علیہ السلام کو دلیل دے ہرا دیا ۔ موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے ان سے کہا : آپ وہی آدم ہیں جنہوں نے ( خود غلطی کر کے اپنی اولاد کے ) لوگوں کو غلطیاں کرنے کا راستہ دکھایا اور انہیں جنت سے نکلوا دیا؟ تو آدم علیہ السلام نے فرمایا : تمہی ہو جسے اللہ نے ہر چیز کا علم دیا اور جسے لوگوں میں سے اپنی رسالت کے لیے منتخب فرمایا؟ انہوں نے کہا : ہاں ، ( تو آدم علیہ السلام نے ) فرمایا : تم مجھے اس بات پر ملامت کر رہے ہو جو مجھے پیدا کیے جانے سے بھی پہلے میرے مقدر کر دی گئی تھی؟ "

English Translation

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: There was argument between Adam and Moses, and Adam came the better of Moses. Moses said to him: You are the same Adam who misled people, and caused them to get out of Paradise. Adam said: You are the same (Moses) whom Allah endowed the knowledge of everything and selected him amongst the people as His Messenger. He said: Yes. Adam then again said: Even then you blame me for an affair which had been ordained for me before I was created.
