حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نِسْطَاسٍ مِنْ آلِ كَثِيرِ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا يَحْلِفُ أَحَدٌ عِنْدَ مِنْبَرِي هَذَا عَلَى يَمِينٍ آثِمَةٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَوْ عَلَى سِوَاكٍ أَخْضَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِلَّا تَبَوَّأَ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ النَّارُ .

Urdu Translation

جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو شخص میرے منبر کے پاس جھوٹی قسم کھائے گا اگرچہ ایک تازی مسواک کے لیے کھائے تو سمجھ لو اس نے اپنا ٹھکانہ جہنم میں بنا لیا یا یہ کہا: جہنم اس پر واجب ہو گئی ۱؎ ۔

English Translation

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: One should not take a false oath at this pulpit of mine even on a green tooth-stick; otherwise he will make his abode in Hell, or Hell will be certain for him.
