أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ الْمُخَرِّمِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا حُجَيْنُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ تَمَتَّعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ بِالْعُمْرَةِ إِلَى الْحَجِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَهْدَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَسَاقَ مَعَهُ الْهَدْيَ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَبَدَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَهَلَّ بِالْعُمْرَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ أَهَلَّ بِالْحَجِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَتَمَتَّعَ النَّاسُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْعُمْرَةِ إِلَى الْحَجِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَكَانَ مِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ أَهْدَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَسَاقَ الْهَدْيَ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ لَمْ يُهْد، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ لِلنَّاسِ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ أَهْدَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَحِلُّ مِنْ شَيْءٍ حَرُمَ مِنْهُ حَتَّى يَقْضِيَ حَجَّهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَهْدَى فَلْيَطُفْ بِالْبَيْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَبِالصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلْيُقَصِّرْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلْيَحْلِلْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ لِيُهِلَّ بِالْحَجِّ ثُمَّ لِيُهْدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ هَدْيًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلْيَصُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ فِي الْحَجِّ وَسَبْعَةً إِذَا رَجَعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ ،‏‏‏‏ فَطَافَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ قَدِمَ مَكَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاسْتَلَمَ الرُّكْنَ أَوَّلَ شَيْءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ خَبَّ ثَلَاثَةَ أَطْوَافٍ مِنَ السَّبْع، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَشَى أَرْبَعَةَ أَطْوَافٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ رَكَعَ حِينَ قَضَى طَوَافَهُ بِالْبَيْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَصَلَّى عِنْدَ الْمَقَامِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَانْصَرَفَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَتَى الصَّفَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَطَافَ بِالصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ سَبْعَةَ أَطْوَافٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ لَمْ يَحِلَّ مِنْ شَيْءٍ حَرُمَ مِنْهُ حَتَّى قَضَى حَجَّهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَنَحَرَ هَدْيَهُ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَفَاضَ فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ حَلَّ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَرُمَ مِنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفَعَلَ مِثْلَ مَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مَنْ أَهْدَى وَسَاقَ الْهَدْيَ مِنَ النَّاسِ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حجۃ الوداع میں تمتع کیا ۱؎ یعنی پہلے عمرہ کیا پھر حج کیا اور ہدی بھیجی، بلکہ اپنے ساتھ ذوالحلیفہ سے ہدی لے گئے ( وہاں ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پہلے عمرہ کا تلبیہ پکارا پھر حج کا تلبیہ پکارا اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ لوگوں نے بھی تمتع کیا، یعنی عمرے کا احرام باندھا پھر حج کا۔ البتہ ان میں کچھ ایسے لوگ بھی تھے جنہوں نے ہدی بھیجی اور اپنے ساتھ بھی لیے گئے، اور کچھ لوگ ایسے تھے جو ہدی نہیں لے گئے تھے۔ تو جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مکہ پہنچ گئے تو آپ نے لوگوں سے فرمایا: ”جو لوگ اپنے ساتھ ہدی لے کر آئے ہیں وہ جب تک حج پورا نہ کر لیں کسی بھی چیز سے جو ان پر حرام ہیں حلال نہ ہو ) اور جو ہدی ساتھ لے کر نہیں آئے ہیں تو وہ خانہ کعبہ کا طواف کریں اور صفا و مروہ کی سعی کریں، اور بال کتروائیں اور احرام کھول ڈالیں۔ پھر ( اٹھویں ذی الحجہ کو ) حج کا احرام باندھے پھر ہدی دے اور جسے ہدی میسر نہ ہو تو وہ حج میں تین دن روزے رکھے، اور سات دن اپنے گھر واپس پہنچ جائیں تب رکھیں“، چنانچہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مکہ پہنچ کر طواف کیا، اور سب سے پہلے حجر اسود کا بوسہ لیا پھر سات پھیروں میں سے پہلے تین پھیروں میں دوڑ کر چلے ۲؎، باقی چار پھیرے عام رفتار سے چلے۔ پھر جس وقت بیت اللہ کا طواف پورا کر لیا، تو مقام ابراہیم کے پاس دو رکعتیں پڑھیں پھر سلام پھیرا۔ اور نماز سے فارغ ہو کر صفا آئے اور صفا اور مروہ کے درمیان سات پھیرے کیے۔ پھر جو چیزیں حرام ہو گئی تھیں ان میں سے کسی چیز سے بھی حلال نہیں ہوئے یہاں تک کہ اپنے حج کو مکمل کیا اور یوم النحر ( دسویں ذی الحجہ ) کو اپنے ہدی کی نحر کی ( جانور ذبح کئے ) اور منیٰ سے لوٹ کر مکہ آئے، پھر خانہ کعبہ کا طواف کیا پھر جو چیزیں حرام ہو گئی تھیں ان سب سے حلال ہو گئے، اور لوگوں میں سے جو ہدی ( کا جانور ) لے کر گئے تھے، انہوں نے بھی ویسے ہی کیا جیسے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کیا۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Salim bin 'Abdullah that 'Abdullah bin 'Umar said; during the Farewell Pilgrimage, the Messenger of Allah benefited from performing 'Umrah and then Hajj, and he brought a Hadi (sacrificial animal )with him from dhul-Hulaifah. The Messenger of Allah entered Ihram for 'Umrah frist, them for Hajj, and the people also benefited by entering Ihram for 'Umrah first, then for Hajj. Some of the people brought the Hadi and carried it along with them, and other s did not. When the Messenger of Allah came to Makkah, he said to the people: 'Whoever among you has brought a Hadi, nothing is permissible for him that became forbidden when he entered Ihram, until he has finished his Hajj, Whoever did not find a Hadi, let him fast for three days during the Hajj, and for seven when he returns to his family, the Messenger of Allah performed Tawaf when he came to Makkah and touched the corner (where the Black Stone is) first of all, then he walked rapidly during the first three of the seven circles, and walked daring the last four. After he finished circumambulating the House he prayed two Rak'ahs at Maqam Ibrahim. Then he went to As-Safa and walked seven rounds between As-Safa and Al-Marwah. And he did not do any action that was forbidden because of Ihram until he had completed his Hajj and slaughtered his Hadi on the Day of sacrifice. Then he hastened onward (toard Makkah) and circumambulated the House. Then everything that had been forbidden because of Ihram became permissible. And those who had brought the Hadi with them did the same as the Messenger of Allah did.
