It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) went out one day to pray for rain. He led us in praying two Rak’ah without any Adhan or Iqamah, then he addressed us and supplicated to Allah. He turned to face the Qiblah, raising his hands, then he turned his cloak around, putting its right on the left and its left on the right.”

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْأَزْهَرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُالنُّعْمَانَ يُحَدِّثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا يَسْتَسْقِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَصَلَّى بِنَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ بِلَا أَذَانٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا إِقَامَةٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ خَطَبَنَا وَدَعَا اللَّهَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَوَّلَ وَجْهَهُ نَحْوَ الْقِبْلَةِ رَافِعًا يَدَيْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَلَبَ رِدَاءَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَجَعَلَ الْأَيْمَنَ عَلَى الْأَيْسَرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْأَيْسَرَ عَلَى الْأَيْمَنِ .

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک دن نماز استسقاء پڑھنے کے لیے نکلے، تو بغیر اذان و اقامت کے ہمیں دو رکعت نماز پڑھائی، پھر خطبہ دیا، اور اللہ تعالیٰ سے دعا کی، اپنے دونوں ہاتھ اٹھاتے ہوئے اپنا منہ قبلہ کی طرف کیا، پھر اپنی چادر پلٹی تو دایاں جانب بائیں کندھے پر اور بایاں جانب دائیں کندھے پر کر لیا ۱؎۔
