It was narrated from Salman that the : Prophet (saas) said: Your Lord is Kind and Most Generous, and is too kind to let His slave, if he raises his hands to Him, bring them back empty, or he said frustrated.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ بَكْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ حَيِيٌّ كَرِيمٌ،‏‏‏‏ يَسْتَحْيِي مِنْ عَبْدِهِ أَنْ يَرْفَعَ إِلَيْهِ يَدَيْهِ،‏‏‏‏ فَيَرُدَّهُمَا صِفْرًا أَوْ قَالَ خَائِبَتَيْنِ .

سلمان رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تمہارا رب «حی» ( بڑا باحیاء، شرمیلا ) اور کریم ہے، اسے اس بات سے شرم آتی ہے کہ اس کا بندہ اس کے سامنے ہاتھ پھیلائے تو وہ انہیں خالی یا نامراد لوٹا دے ۱؎۔
