It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Islam began as something strange and will go back to being strange, so glad tidings to the strangers.”

حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ،‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ،‏‏‏‏ وَابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سِنَانِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ الْإِسْلَامَ بَدَأَ غَرِيبًا وَسَيَعُودُ غَرِيبًا،‏‏‏‏ فَطُوبَى لِلْغُرَبَاءِ .

انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اسلام اجنبی حالت میں شروع ہوا، اور عنقریب پھر اجنبی بن جائے گا، لہٰذا ایسے وقت میں اس پر قائم رہنے والے اجنبیوں کے لیے خوشخبری ہے ۔
