Sunan Ibn Majah 804

It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to start his prayer by saying: ‘Subhanaka Allahumma wa bi hamdika, wa tabarakas-muka, wa ta’ala jadduka, wa la ilaha ghairuka (Glory and praise be to You, O Allah, blessed be Your Name and exalted be Your majesty, none has the right to be worshipped but you).”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الضُّبَعِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الرِّفَاعِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَفْتِحُ صَلَاتَهُ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ وَتَعَالَى جَدُّكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ .

ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب اپنی نماز شروع کرتے تو یہ دعا پڑھتے: «سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك وتبارك اسمك وتعالى جدك ولا إله غيرك» اے اللہ! تو پاک ہے اور سب تعریف تیرے لیے ہے، تیرا نام بابرکت ہے، تیری شان بلند ہے، اور تیرے علاوہ کوئی مستحق عبادت نہیں ۔
