Ramadan Kareem is the name of the glorious month of Ramadan. People sometimes say "Ramadan Kareem" or "Ramadan Mubarak" as a greeting to other Muslims during this period Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and Ramadan is one of the five Pillars of Islam and is observed as the month in which the Qur'an was revealed. Ramadan is the time when Muslims observe a fast from sunrise to sunset, it starts later in the first day at sunset.. While fasting is usually defined as refraining from food and water, many Muslims also refrain from smoking and sexual relations and try not to swear or lose their temper while fasting. there is some permission granted to the sick people specially women they perform fasting when they become healthy and if they cant fast then, Instead of fasting, these women can provide food to a homeless person or donate enough money to cover the cost of feeding a person for the month of Ramadan. While Muslim communities in any country, including Russia, China and the United States, are likely to observe the fasting and abstinence month of Ramadan, the following countries with an Islamic majority tend to do so more widely: Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Morocco, Egypt, Mauritania, Tunisia, Algeria, Somalia, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, Oman, Yemen, Kuwait, Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. Since the timing for the commencement of Ramadan is taken from the moon phase and visibility, the dates and length of this month vary, not only from year to year but from region to region as well. In any case, it generally lasts between 29 to 30 days and fasting .At sunset each day, a time known during Ramadan as "iftar," observant Muslims are permitted to break their fast. Muslims use Ramadan as a time to become spiritually renewed and to practice self control by spending extra time in prayer,. it also build up your tolerance power

If we talk about Ramadan in our country, Pakistan almost all people were fasting elder ,and children up to seven years old ,masjids the praying area made iftar for all type of people ,Muslims did more prayer in this month also did taraveeh [prayer,which was doing after isha and before vitar namaz] The reward given by GOD increases 70 times in this month. In this month markets usually were closed at iftar time, As a blessings special offers came in ramadan related groceries ,household purpose, clothes and other items and the best part in this month was that doing prayers in the midnight by doing this your soul gets fulfill .. the real hard work for a good Muslim is to reach the judgment day with full of his efforts ,by prayings or good works for humanity or society .,his spirit rises more and more and the person always tries to stay away from every single sin whether its small or big But the worst thing is that now a days Muslims specially the young generation which is symbol of any good nation .they did’t gets the blessings of this month instead of prayer they bounded them in match tournament ,they went shopping mall not buy single thing didn’t pray namaz properly how are nation can become a successful nation.
