Earthquake in Karachi; A message from Nature

A recent earthquake that rocked
Karachi at about 1:23am midnight can be rightly called a forewarning from the
Nature. The deteriorating law and order situation, mismanagement, corruption,
sycophancy and the moral degradation of our society has reached at a point where
these types of shocks send us the message that some supra power is ruling over
this world. It seems that people in our country have forgotten the wrath of
Allah. We consider our selves immune to the wraths of nature because we are
Muslims. Our perspective is that as we are free from Shirk, we are superior to
infidels and we can please Allah any time by repenting over our sins.
I think that being Muslim we are more vulnerable to the wrath of Allah as
compared to non Muslims. The reason is that at least 5 times everyday we say to
Allah that we are your servants, forgive our sins, we won't repeat them.
Whenever person like me stands for prayers he asks Allah to forgive him. He
promises to God that he won't betray any one, he won't cheat, he won't hurt, he
won't kill, he won't loot. But numerous times a day he performs these acts. We
promise daily 5 times and break it hundred times. Still we are immune to the
wrath of Allah.
It's high time that we take lesson from this incident of earthquake. Thanks to
Almighty that intensity we about 7.4 but destruction is negligible as the
duration was about 30 seconds. If the quake lasted for a few minutes then I
think that cities would have vanished.
