What Is Hijab In Islam
I don’t tell the details that you are aware of by different media platforms.
First, people should know what is hijab and what is the definition of Hijab. It is a veil or piece of cloth worn by certain Muslim women in the presence of any male outside of their immediate family.
Islam has protected the women from evil eyes and gaze by providing a notion to wear the hijab. The Quran (Chapter 24, verse 31) instructs not only women but men also to observe the modesty: Quran tells us: “Say to the believers that they restrain their eyes and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Surely, Allah is well aware of what they do.” As a matter of fact, we always try to cover that is precious for us. That is the same case when you go to a mobile shop to purchase a cover for your cell phone. Why? Because you want to protect it from scratch. The same way, Muslim women believe in Hijab and they believe that Hijab is not a barrier between them and people but it is barrier between women and the evil of the people.
Apart from these things, as an Islamic student and scholar, I would like to draw your attention that some are saying that the notion of Hijab isn’t proved by the verse of Quran directly. Like Karnataka governor Arif Khan and some so-called Muslim like Subhi khan and Tarik Fatah. I would like to inform them that they should read the Quran in a right way with four Usool of Tafseer first and purify their hearts and intentions then they should say something about Quran. But it will never happen because they know their statements in favor of hijab will go against their material interests.
In today’s world when the nudity became a tool for those who want fame over nights by showing off their body uncovered and the storm of publicity has destroyed their ethical approach totally and made them blind. In this scenario, if you hear the trending top news that girls and women from a community are protesting for the rights to wear hijab, then you become eventually shocked. But at this point, the interesting thing is that some groups of people become more shocked and surprised than us because they think how backward these people are who are talking about hijab and parda in 21rst century. But they should know whatever the advancements they achieve, they never can throw their uncivilized mentality upon others. But it doesn’t mean that we are against all those who do not wear hijab.
If you look at the entire case of Hijab with psychological point of view, then In my opinion, you will find one positive aspect that it is a good sign that this issue of hijab has been raised by the Muslim girl students which will impact the overall image of Muslim women and their respect in society in a right direction.
If we talk about the constitution, then we realize that they don’t have any fair justification to ban hijab especially in India where the Muslim women have the constitutional rights to wear the attire as per their choice.
But you know that state of KARANATAKA has banned the hijab that is being denounced not only across the country but even internationally because it is unconstitutional and unfair as well and we the people of India know very well that now it became an issue of political agenda also in 2022 assembly election, a matter of religious concern and ideological uniformity within the country.
The international political observers are also commenting that we are seeing things happening in India which never happened before after independence 1947. These types of things actually hurt the spirit of the independence and a section of country’s citizen.
We also know that this has been viral all over the world and people reacted to this ongoing controversy and row according to their thoughts and beliefs. Most of the people are impressed by the courage of Muskan. So, people are reacting as per their liking and disliking. Even one congress leader said that the uncovered women has more vulnerability to be raped by anonymous outside her home or residence. Anyway, most importantly, people across the world have showed their support toward this girl named Muskan and the entire issue.
I would like to appeal our people of the country who are protesting for their rights to wear Hijab to continue their protest. we should keep our fight and struggle against what that hurts our feelings and emotions especially if it is against somehow important in our Deen and daily life. But all should be in a peaceful way.
Especially, I want to share some message on hijab row for my country’s people. You know the state of Karanataka has banned hijab for Muslim girl students to enter in class rooms covered with hijab. That is very pathetic in fact. Now Muslim women and students are protesting across the country for their rights to wear hijab. That is also very sad. Even the country’s constitution has given the rights to eat and wear whatever is chosen by any citizen of the country. But still it’s happening because some people in government who have the Hindutva ideology. They don’t want the things as peaceful as these are. They want to disrupt the things for political gains and to propagate their so-called ideological tendency. But they should know that they can’t be successful in whatever they want to achieve from this disturbance. They should be ashamed for such mean acts. They should remember we have the experience of such protest before in other parts of the world. And the world knows that we have seen and faced such challenges before but whenever wrong things are tried to do against our identity to defame us. We saw the reverted result even it took the longtime of decade. Because you know we are the believers who never tried to interfere in the faith and practices of other religions. So, live and let the people live peacefully. That’s all. Jeeo and Jeene do!
What is the conclusion of all this: you should tolerate the opinions and behavior of others so that they would similarly tolerate your own. Live and let the people live peacefully.
In the last but not least, the special message of mine for all women is: In this age of nudity and storm of publicity, the more you reveal, the cheaper you will be regarded, even the world makes you feel you are liberated. And always remember that modest dress plays a key role in the purification of soul and inner contentment.
May Allah protect us and guide us all! Aameen
