Rabi-Ul-Awal And Firecrackers
(Hafiz Muhammad Noman, Karachi)
A very unfortunate occasion
takes place whenever Rabi-ul-Awal arrives. It is a great pity that firecrackers
are sold in abundance by shopkeepers and parents allow their children to buy and
explode the firecrackers on 11 and 12 Rabi-ul-Awal amazingly. The day which the
Muslims should celebrate performing Namaz, praying and doing good deeds starts
with bombing night unfortunately.
Our last Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was born on 12 Rabi-ul-Awal
and the Muslims celebrate the day with great enthusiasm but after a passage of
time, some extra and useless activities have started and people instead of
praying have started to explode crackers and other explosives due to which they
cause to bother or disturb other people including patients at their homes etc.
On the other hand, law enforcement agencies perhaps have allowed shopkeepers to
sell firecrackers on the occasion owing to which we listen to explosions every
where on the occasion.
The Muslim should at least think a little whether they are doing good on the
occasion. Parents should strictly forbid their children to buy explosives and
crackers and the law enforcement agencies should also stem these sorts of the
activities on any holy occasions in order to avoid any uncertainty or bad
situation for the people.
