Problems of Malir

Malir is a big area in Karachi
that lies on two sides of the National Highway. Thousands of people daily travel
on the National Highway in order to reach their destinations or jobs in morning,
afternoon or evening and afterwards, they have to return their homes. Since
traffic has to enter Malir, it interferes the already traffic on National
Highway due to which public has to face difficulties usually on Malir 15 as
traffic coming from four sides is mingled and the National Highway is choked due
to heavy and light traffic or public transport. Not only public but also
patients in various ambulances are stuck in traffic jam due to which their lives
are in great danger.
Similarly, public has to face the music on Malir Halt especially on Saturday
because a Bazar (market) is set along National Highway at Malir Halt every
Saturday and some stallholders set their stalls just beside the National Highway
that cause great traffic jam and public has to wait hours long to reach their
destinations.
Hence, the government should start a development project forthwith and build a
flyover at Malir 15 in order to facilitate public. Similarly, the government
should further cope with stalls that cause to block traffic so that public
problems can be stemmed and they can reach their destinations in time.
